What safety measures do have you in place?

The Red Pump Inn adheres to VistEngland’s industry standard ‘We’re Good to Go’ scheme which is designed to provide reassurance to our visitors that we have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness and social distancing.

What time can I Check-In?

You can Check-In after 2pm and before 6pm (later by arrangement only).

What time do I have to Check-Out?

Check-Out is needed by 10:30am at the latest.

Is Reception open 24 hours?

No, management are on duty until the evening bar closes. Jonathan or Fran can be raised in an emergency by ringing 01254 826227.

Do I have to book a table for dinner?

We offer a small Supper menu on a Friday and Saturday night between 6pm and 7:30pm and although not essential it is advisable to book

Can I leave my luggage if I arrive early or late?

We have a limited amount of storage space but will always try and accommodate your needs. All luggage is left at the owners risk.

Can I bring my Dog?

We have 2 dog friendly rooms on the ground floor in the Inn while the Yurts and Shepherd Huts can also accommodate dogs, however dogs must never be left alone in any of our accommodation.

There is a charge of £12.50 per night and we ask that all guest read carefully our DOG FRIENDLY POLICY as any damage will be chargeable.

Dogs are also allowed in the Snug and the Parlour in the Inn.

Can you recommend cycling or walking routes?

Certainly we love doing both.

“Fran’s Favourite Footpaths” offer a variety of routes printed on waterproof maps while cycle routes can be advised upon.

Where is the nearest shop?

We’ve a great little Spar store just a few minutes drive from the Inn just as you enter our nearest town of Clitheroe.

What is there to do locally?

Lots of things …. go to LOCAL AREA

Is WIFI available?

Yes, WIFI is usually available in our public spaces and all accommodation including Yurts and Shepherd Huts. Look for RED PUMP GUEST on your mobile device, there is no password required.

What do I need to bring to stay in a Yurt?

Nothing. Bedding and towels are included, kettle, heater and electric lights …. just like a hotel bedroom.

A Chiminea/ BBQ is provided and a wood basket is available to buy. Bring your own food, crockery and cutlery if required.

What do I need to bring when staying in a Shepherd Hut?

Nothing. Bedding and towels are included. The Huts and hooked up with electric sockets, lights and central heating.

If you are self-catering, you will need to bring your own food, although Breakfast Baskets can be ordered in advance.

Is breakfast included?

All prices include a traditional breakfast unless you have booked the Self Catering option in the Shepherd Huts.

Clitheroe.

Can I rent a bike at the hotel or nearby?

Yes, we have access to electric bikes which can be hired with 24 hours notice.

Unfortunately we have no bike storage facilities at present.

Is a vehicle charging point at the Inn?

Not at the moment but we are looking into this.

Do you sell Gift Vouchers?

Absolutely, favourites are birthdays, anniversaries or simply a romantic treat. Choose either a fixed amount or a package.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Built in 1756 (before these sort of things were considered), various rooms within the Inn are on different levels. We’ve taken measures to adapt and can now offer level and ramped access to 2 bedrooms, the Snug and the Parlour. Unfortunately at present the Yurts and Shepherd Huts are not wheelchair accessible.

Can I smoke in a Bedroom, Shepherd Hut or Yurt?

No, it is not permitted to smoke in any of these areas.
