Native Longhorn, Shorthorn and Galloway cattle mature slowly, developing a wonderful flavour as they graze on a natural diet of grass and hay. Dry aged often to over 40 days Ginger Pig supply their exceptional quality beef through their seven shops in the capital to some of the best restaurants in London and Paris … and Bashall Eaves!
A wide variety of steaks are on offer include Fillet, Sirloin, Rump, Rib-eye, Picanha (a specialty rump cut popular in Argentina) and our signature steak – the Prime Rib cooked on the bone.
In addition however to creating a unique niche for steak lovers our menu offers a delight for all foodies who just love simple dishes with superior ingredients cooked exceptionally well. Along with the “Ginger Pig” steaks there are chicken, lamb and fish cuts and classics such as Fran’s Irish Stew and Fish Chowder with further specials listed daily.
Our ‘home-grown’ head chef Thomas Drinkall from the Ribble Valley is equally passionate about this ethos at the core of the Red Pump menu and brings with him wide culinary experience from exclusive private dining in the French Alps to char-grilling on the beaches of Australia.
The Ribble Valley is fortunate in playing host to some of the best restaurants and pubs in the UK therefore one of our challenges is to keep things simple. We don’t look to create pretentious or complicated; just really tasty food from fresh quality ingredients; all cooked with passion.
